A recently refurbished country house bar with draught ales, locally-inspired cocktails, an open fire, and a riverside garden to retreat to.
Recently refurbished, the Cocktail Lounge at the Grasmere Hotel is the perfect place to unwind after a day on the fells. Relax in style, settle into an armchair, or take your drink outside to the beer garden and sit by the River Rothay.
We offer a good selection of wines by the glass and bottle and beers, lagers and spirits. We also serve a variety of cocktails. The bar is open from 12am – 5pm Sunday to Tuesday and 12pm – 10.30pm Wednesday to Saturday.
Draught ales and lagers sourced from Cumbrian and local breweries. Rotating guest taps alongside our reliable regulars.
Step through the garden gate and you’re by the River Rothay. Sit out with a drink and take in the views of the surrounding fells on a fine day. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Beer garden included.
No booking required for bar food. The bar is open to residents and non-residents alike.
